Re-Design: Living Space
The brief was to create a dynamic open space, incorporating Dining area, Sitting Room and an outside space that was easily accessed and would feel part of the home.
To achieve this, we removed several walls and installed steel support beams, removed an existing window and enlarged the opening to receive new sliding patio doors.
In between the patio doors, we fitted a wall mounted flue-less gas fire, providing a focal point for this wall.
The very large TV on the other wall was mounted onto a secondary stud wall, which provided a cavity to run all the cables and hide the large speakers, which were hidden behind the stud wall and plastered over.
The result is a very pleasing contemporary look and feel, the sound system is amazing (Speakers in the ceiling too) and the large patio doors, leading onto a timber deck with glass balustrade which affords you uninterrupted views of the beautiful lake.
